That last blast of Arctic air blew through Upstate New York just in time to prevent a serious outbreak of cabin fever.
In the storm system's wake, Syracuse-area residents are turning off their TV sets long enough to don snowshoes and cross-country skis, rev up snowmobiles, and, yes, punch holes in the frozen tops of favorite lakes and ponds.
