It's mid-December, weeks before year-end record sales in Britain reveal that Dido's new set, ``Life for Rent,'' has outsold the competition.
And she's in good spirits all the same. Dido, the British pop chanteuse, has just received her first-ever Grammy nomination for best female pop vocal performance for the song ``White Flag.''
``I was hoping for something,'' the 32-year-old singer says with a giggle.
Grammy nod or not, she had a good feeling about the contents of her latest disc. And rightfully so. Since its Sept. 29 release, ``Life for Rent'' has sold upward of 6.5 million copies worldwide and ...
