GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., Jan. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Betty Van Andel, wife of Amway Corp. co-founder Jay Van Andel and a longtime civic leader in her hometown of Grand Rapids, Michigan, died on Sunday, January 18, 2004 on Peter Island, the family home in the Caribbean. She was 82.
Mrs. Van Andel had been in declining health for several years and suffered from Alzheimer's disease.
