For two weeks in October, the Air Force advertising slogan "Cross into the Blue" took on new meaning for a reservist assigned to the U.S. Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron, the Thunderbirds.
Tech. Sgt. Brian Plauche, the first reservist assigned to the team and crew chief for the No. 1 aircraft, was selected to participate in an exchange program Oct. 8-19 with the Blue Angels, the Navy's equivalent to the Thunderbirds.
