After a dive in May and August, 2003, car sales rose to a nine month peak of 34,396 units in September, bringing the total sales to 268,550 units in the first nine months of this year or a 12% increase year-on-year. With a monthly average of 29,838 so far this year, car sales in the whole of 2003 are predicted to reach 358,000 units exceeding the previous target of 340,000 units.
Commercial cars accounted for 30,440 units of the total sales of 34,396 units in September, 2003. The rest were sedans or passenger cars. Sedan sales in September dropped from 4,314 units in July, but sales of commercial cars rose. The high sales of sedans in July followed the launching ...
