After a dive in May and August, 2003, car sales rose to a nine month peak of 34,396 units in September, bringing the total sales to 268,550 units in the first nine months of this year or a 12% increase year-on-year. With a monthly average of 29,838 so far this year, car sales in the whole of 2003 are predicted to reach 358,000 units exceeding the previous target of 340,000 units.
