Described as an artefact of huge historical significance this Nazi chalice once belonged to Hitler's deputy Herman Goering and has an estimated value of pounds 2m.
Its journey took it from the heart of the Third Reich into the hands of a North-East soldier.
But recently it found itself at the centre of a bizarre blackmail plot involving a boxer dog named Benji. And now its future remains uncertain after a judge decided it is to be sold off to pay off the debts of the blackmailer.
