As usual, Domonique King was the smallest player on the court Nov. 22 when the Lane Community College women's basketball team opened its season against Wenatchee Valley.
And as usual, it was King who had the biggest game.
The diminutive freshman point guard for the Titans scored a school-record 42 points, going 14-for-21 from the field and 11-for-16 from the free-throw line as Lane won 85-80. Only one of her baskets was a three-pointer.
"I don't know if shocked is the right word, because I knew she was pretty good," Lane coach Greg Sheley said. "But 42 points in your first game? Man, that was ...
