LAS VEGAS -- Mainfloor sportswear manufacturers are having a love affair with cotton.
Valued for its hand, wearability, comfort and perceived value, cotton has become the fabric of choice in the mainfloor market today.
Its one main drawback, shrinkage, is becoming less of a problem as mills continue to work on fabrics with lower shrinkage rates. Many mainfloor companies have been able to work their shrinkage rates down to between 2 and 6 percent, which they consider acceptable.
