ALBANY, N.Y., Jan. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- In an effort to slash Medicaid prescription drug expenditures, New York State lawmakers are once again pressing to establish a highly restrictive prescription drug formulary that would limit the state's sickest and poorest patients to cheaper and, in many cases, less advanced medicines. The Mental Health Association in New York State (MHANYS), The Epilepsy Foundation-New York City (EFNYC) and the North River Community Environmental Review Board (NRCERB) were joined in Albany today by patients and physicians to express their opposition to what they believe is an unfair and unsound policy to control drug costs.
