ARKANSAS' LARGEST SUBCONtracting companies grew a little larger in 2003, while several smaller subcontractors weren't so lucky--even with the construction strong across the state.
Both electrical and mechanical subcontractors saw gains and losses in revenue and employees, according to Arkansas Business' second-annual list of subcontractors.
Though competition has grown increasingly fierce, Comfort Systems USA in North Little Rock has remained No. 1 in the mechanical subcontractors list. Led by Clyde A. Jester, Comfort Systems had revenue of $19 million in 2003.
