KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C., Jan. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- The Kiawah Island Natural Habitat Conservancy announces that it has received a $1 million grant from the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources. The federal grant, which was awarded to the state as part of the National Coastal Wetlands Conservation Grant Program, will be used to help place more than 700 acres on Kiawah Island under permanent conservation protection.
