A man who flipped his car during a high-speed chase Thursday night remained in a Eugene hospital Friday.
James Edward Walters, 31, of Eugene was being treated at Sacred Heart Medical Center for a collapsed lung and other internal injuries, Coburg police Lt. Grover Hubbard said. "He'll be in the hospital for a while," Hubbard said.
The chase began with a routine traffic stop in Coburg and ended in a one-car rollover at Second Avenue and Chambers Street in Eugene just after 8 p.m. Officers were investigating whether the Cadillac sedan was stolen, or perhaps purchased using stolen credit cards, checks or identification, ...
