Bill Foster is retiring after leading Grant High of Van Nuys to its best finish in his 19 years as football coach.
Foster will stay on as the school's athletic director and already has chosen his replacement: Miguel Gonzalez, a former player under Foster who served as the freshman/sophomore coach and varsity receivers coach over the past six years, will take over.
``I'm being forced out,'' Foster said jokingly Tuesday. ``They said, 'You haven't won a title in 19 years. You're done.' ''
