Genesis Microchip Inc. (Nasdaq:GNSS) has been named Dell's primary provider for flat panel image display controllers, consolidating the product supply base to help increase value and quality for Dell (Nasdaq:DELL) customers.
The announcement extends Dell's relationship with Genesis to include controllers -- the technology that manages image and video quality -- in flat panel displays and LCD TVs. Genesis, a leading global supplier of display image processors, previously supplied controllers for part of Dell's product line.
