The beginning of any new year is an apposite time to reflect on the past and look forward to the future. A little under a year ago the future belonged to an ohsosmart cocktail bar on the fashionable reaches of Chelsea's King's Road.
Apartment 195, a recreation of a Manhattan-style loft apartment, had just scooped London's most coveted bar prize, the 2003 Evening Standard Bar Of The Year award.
