MARCOLA - The OSAA Class 2A/1A wrestling tournament is quickly becoming just a 2A tournament.
Last year, Alsea placed 17th to become the only 1A school to crack the top 20 at state. Wallowa, McKenzie and Condon were the only other 1A schools to score a point, and each finished 31st or lower in the team standings.
While many small schools are dropping wrestling, Dave Krull is attempting to reverse the trend by starting a program at Mohawk High School.
