The Salina Town Board appointed two new members to the planning board last week, about a half hour before the annual planning board organizational meeting.
During that meeting, planners ousted the former secretary, but kept the attorney.
At the special town board meeting, the town board voted 3 to 1 to appoint James Murty and Thomas Fodaro to the new seven-year planning board positions. Republican councilor Paul Carey voted no. Councilor Mark Nicotra, also a Republican, did not vote because he was late to the meeting.
