Jan. 23--Vacation Express, a charter airline that has operated in the southeast and mid-Atlantic regions for nearly 15 years, will start non-stop, year-round service between Myrtle Beach and Wilkes-Barre-Scranton, Pa., on March 11.
Bob Kemp, director of Myrtle Beach International Airport, said the route opens up a new market for Myrtle Beach.
"It opens up non-stop service to a whole area of Pennsylvania and New York that we didn't have non-stop service to," Kemp said.
