Jan. 24--With two competitors well ahead, the FPL Group entered on Friday the race to link the Bahamas and Florida with a natural-gas pipeline.
The parent of the Florida Power & Light utility announced that it had taken an option to participate with El Paso Corp. in building a line between Riviera Beach in Palm Beach County and South Riding Point on Grand Bahama Island.
On Thursday, the rival AES' Ocean Express Pipeline received final approval from the Federal Regulatory Energy Commission and said it expects Bahamian approval to follow shortly. A third proposal, the ...
