A former deputy superintendent with the New York Insurance Department has filed a suit against his former employers, charging that he was fired for blowing the whistle about the alleged "predatory pricing practices" of various Blue Cross organizations in the state.
Donald Lundgren charges that he was terminated in April because he had disclosed the "possibly inappropriate conduct of [First Deputy Superintendent Wendy Cooper], which reflected favoritism toward Blue Cross organizations," said the suit, which was filed in June in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, located in Manhattan.
