GrafTech International Ltd. (NYSE:GTI) today announced that United States District Judge George B. Daniels of the Southern District of New York has issued a decision granting the defendants' motions to dismiss GTI's lawsuit against its former parents, Mitsubishi Corporation and Union Carbide Corporation. As previously disclosed, in February 2000, GTI commenced a lawsuit against its former parents and two of their respective representatives who served on the Company's Board of Directors during the time of the Company's leveraged equity recapitalization in January 1995.
