Jan. 27--Rhode Island and Massachusetts residents are the "economic force" behind southeastern Connecticut's dominance of New England's gaming, destination and entertainment market, according to a report from the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth.
Rhode Island residents spent $301 million and Massachusetts residents spent $829 million last year at Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun, the report released yesterday by the university's Center for Policy Analysis estimated.
