Journal Register Company (NYSE: JRC) Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer Robert M. Jelenic announced today the Company's acquisition of the assets of O Jornal, a weekly newspaper based in Fall River, Massachusetts, with circulation of approximately 14,300 serving more than 30 communities in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, including Fall River, Taunton and New Bedford, Massachusetts, and Bristol, Providence, Woonsocket, Pawtucket and West Warwick, Rhode Island. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
