ABOUT THIS SCULPTURE
The best way of studying the work of Frank Stella is to know that throughout his career his artistic style has constantly changed. He has been continually inspired by new ideas and new experiences and each one of them had a different effect on his work. The relief sculpture shown here, for example, was produced around the middle of his career, after he had won for himself a strong reputation as a highly creative abstract artist.
