LOS ANGELES _ He knew the Los Angeles Dodgers haven't won a playoff game since 1988. He must have said it a dozen times.
He said corporate ownership is over. He said, "Family ownership is back."
He said he liked the way George Steinbrenner did things in New York, where "everyone from the receptionist from the CFO knows what the mission statement is, to win."
He also said he liked the way the owners of the Red Sox have spiffed up Fenway Park, with the "monster seats" in left field.
He said he wants to make the Dodgers a hybrid of both. "We just need some polish, some luster," he said.
