There's a great scene in one of my favorite movies, "The Man Who Would Be King," where some big claims are put to the test. Fast-talking Sean Connery has traveled halfway around the world to convince an isolated civilization in the Himalayas that he is a god sent from heaven to better their lives. In the course of his long journey, he manages to convince himself that he is, in fact, the god he claims to be. And maybe he's really become one? Some of the locals are reluctant but, if he is in fact what he claims, they will happily turn over all of their treasures.
