ENGLAND were facing another drawn-out saga yesterday when a decision on next autumn's tour to Zimbabwe was postponed yet again.

Having resolved last week to make a swift and clear decision, the England and Wales Cricket Board will not now make a judgment until late March at the earliest.

A lack of joined-up thinking at Lord's means the decision has now gone from being made in late February, to this week, to late February again and now, most likely, to the end of March.

It remains almost certain that the tour will be put off indefinitely, since there is still agreement that it cannot go ahead while Robert Mugabe ...
