It doesn't matter what weight-loss diet you're on, sugar plays the bad guy.
Sugar supplies calories, 16 per teaspoon; and is nutritionally bankrupt. If your current food plan says "no-no" to sugar, to what can it say "yes-yes?"
Sugar substitutes or artificial sweeteners.
Let's consider the options. First up is the great granddaddy of all artificial sweeteners: saccharin, which is sold commercially as Sweet'n Low. Saccharin's made from a synthesized organic molecule derived from petroleum: methyl anthranilate. Yummy.
