Threats of a schism have rocked the Episcopal Church USA since fire November consecration of an openly gay man, V. Gene Robinson, as bishop of New Hampshire, but no real split is in sight. Instead, a group of conservative bishops decided in December to form a network of dioceses that will maintain an antigay stance with out breaking away.
