The Oregon women's basketball team moves its remarkable start to the 2003-04 season to the nation's capital today against perennially powerful George Washington.
The 21st-ranked Ducks have won three straight games and eight of their first nine, the best start to a UO season since a 9-1 record after the first 10 games in 1983-84.
Playing two games in three days - Oregon prevailed 68-56 at Santa Clara on Tuesday night - the Ducks of the Pac-10 Conference and the Colonials (4-2) of the Atlantic 10 are scheduled to play at 4 p.m. PST in Washington, D.C.
