If you study on the early days of education in the United States, you'll run across the legacy of the primer. Usually, a primer would be a picture book illustrating the alphabet, with entries like "H is for Horse" and such. In that pioneer spirit, we hereby offer our Field Production Primer. It's not all you need to know-not by a long shot-but it's a pretty good start.
A is for audio, easily the most important part of a production. A salty old broadcasting saying reminds us that, "Television without pictures is radio. Television without audio is [expletive deleted]."
