Dec. 12--The Myra Foundation has just completed its 2003 granting season and has awarded $228,615 to 42 different local organizations.
"We enjoyed another profitable year, and now the community will profit from the foundation," said John Botsford, president of the foundation based in Grand Forks.
The Myra Foundation was established in 1941 in the name of John Myra of Emerado, N.D., and was the first private foundation of its kind in North Dakota.
