Dec. 2--Two months after assuming control of the Old State House, the Connecticut Historical Society is hoping to attract a powerful new partner -- the National Park Service.
Rather than operating the Old State House as a general museum housing revolving exhibits, the historical society plans to develop a $3 million core exhibit, to open two years from now, which essentially will make the building and the events that happened there the central story. The park service might contribute financial support or expertise.
