THERE is a palpable buzz of excitement and anticipation swirling around the Liverpool Playhouse as it gears up for a remarkable 50th anniversary production of the roistering Irish playwright Brendan Behan's controversial work The Quare Fellow.
It is the first stop on a nationwide tour, which is being produced in association with the distinguished Oxford Stage Company and directed by Kathy Burke, both considered a terrific coup for the theatre.
