Bangalore,Feb 3 (PTI) Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal S Krishnaswamy, said on Tuedsay India was on the brink of a war with Pakistan during "Operation Parakram", the year-long full-fledged army deployment after the terror attack on Indian Parliament in December 2001.
"We were always on the brink of war. We stood on the border....and Operation Parakram was a serious bid, we were on the brink", Krishnaswamy told reporters here on Tuesday.
Krishnaswamy, who took over as Air Chief a few days after the Parliament attack, concurred with former Chief of Army Staff Gen Padmanabhan's statement yesterday, that `Operation ...
