Q) I heard the state may cut back on the Family Health Plus program. What's that all about?
A) In his proposed budget, Gov. George Pataki plans several changes that would shrink the package of health benefits offered by Family Health Plus and make it harder for New Yorkers to qualify for this program. Family Health Plus is a state-subsidized health insurance program the state launched in 2001 to provide affordable coverage to low-income adults who don't qualify for Medicaid.
