Don't be afraid. It's not as appalling as you may expect it to be. Yes, "The Chris Schussler Incident" does deal with eighth grade in general and with three particularly unlucky eighth-graders in particular.
But Seattle playwright Scot Auguston's new comedy avails itself of enough pained humor and enough theatrical artifice to make a student's-eye view of Cumbres Junior High School not only bearable but enjoyable - or at least admirable.
Mature adults - Stacy Plum, Stephen Hando and Susanna Burney - play Augustson's unhappy trio: Tracy Bowersox, Eric Olson and Chris Schussler. Considerable acting ...
