For some teams in the Big East, this year's conference schedule poses a form of double jeopardy - putting them on trial twice against the likes of Connecticut, Pittsburgh and Syracuse.
The Big East's 14-team lineup forces the league into an unbalanced schedule. For the past three years, the Big East has split into two divisions. A team played its six divisional rivals twice each and then crossed over to play four teams from the other division.
