Butts, III, Pastor of The Abyssinian Baptist Church will hold a press conference at the church on Monday, February 9, to unveil Phase III of the church's campaign against negative billboard advertising in Harlem. The campaign strives to replace the trend of negative advertising with ones that are consistent with family and community values. The Pastor has specifically targeted billboards and ads that convey negative images of people of color, as well as ones that promote violence and other forms of destructive behavior, or the sale of alcohol and tobacco to youth.
