Miles from Manhattan sits a robin's-egg blue Victorian-style farmhouse, tucked away in the woods. With its candy-striped awnings, black shutters and purposefully unkempt lawn, the house is a distinct departure from its East Hampton neighbors -- and its owner, one of fashion's most vibrant and quirky designers, wouldn't have it any other way.
Inside, Betsey Johnson sits at her country-blue kitchen table with one leg casually propped up on a wicker chair. She's dressed in an Andy Warhol-printed T-shirt, aqua-blue sweatpants and vintage shearling boots, with multicolored hair extensions pulled back into a sloppy ponytail -- a look she calls "Miss Casual."
