North Cambridge Catholic has been rolling along, piling up wins without getting any recognition.
The lack of notoriety ended Wednesday night when the Panthers stunned No. 3 Andover, 72-66, in a nonleague contest. The win was the ninth in a row for NCC and stamped the Panthers as a potential title contender in Division 3.
"We're very happy with the way things are going right now," said NCC coach Jim McGrail, whose team is 11-3. "We struggled early with injuries, but even in the three losses (Arlington Catholic, Springfield Cathedral and Nashua, N.H.), we were in the games."
