In a pair of contracts signed recently with the Coast Guard and Air Force, RIBCRAFT USA has achieved its first multi-boat defense-related deal with the federal government to provide rigid inflatable boats (RIB) suited for harbor patrols, security and quick response applications.
The company will supply six customized 19-foot RIBs to the Coast Guard for peacekeeping missions and patrols overseas, a spokesman told Defense Daily during a telephone interview Wednesday.
