HIGHLANDS RANCH -- Sheriff's deputies shot and killed two pit bulls Sunday after a woman and her dogs were attacked, and neighbors said it isn't the first time there have been problems with the animals.
Residents said they had reported that the pit bulls were on the loose and aggressive in the past, but that nothing happened until Sunday's attack.
Officials said a 53-year-old Englewood woman was walking three dogs on a path east of Clairton Drive when the pit bulls approached, biting at the dogs and turning on her.
