The computer used by suspended East Syracuse Fire Chief Vincent Stevenson was seized by police as part of an investigation into his activities, the fire department's lawyer said Wednesday.
Stevenson was suspended by the department Saturday after admitting he broke department rules, said Bradley Pinsky, the fire department's lawyer.
Stevenson later was charged with obstruction of governmental administration, a misdemeanor, when a representative of the fire department and an East Syracuse police sergeant went to Stevenson's home to collect fire department property, police reports said.
