Article: TICKLE YOUR BRAIN WITH THIS INSECT QUIZ.(Life and Arts)(NORTHWEST GARDENS)

Byline: CHRIS SMITH COLUMNIST

IT STANDS TO REASON that gardeners ought to know more about insects than non-gardeners. So test your insect savvy against that of the third- and fifth-graders to whom I typically give this true-false miniquiz. (By the way, most of the kids do well on this test.)

The answers follow the quiz; no peeking!

Questions

1. All insects have six legs.

2. Insect bones are tiny but extremely strong.

3. All insects have four developmental stages: egg, larva, pupa and adult.
