State Sen. Chuck Chvala wants the state Supreme Court to review Thursday's decision by the Court of Appeals allowing the felony prosecution of him to go forward.
Chvala, former Democratic leader in the Senate, is being prosecuted under Wisconsin's misconduct in public office law. At issue is the use of state paid staffers and equipment for political purposes.
In Wisconsin, the state Supreme Court must agree to hear the cases. There is no automatic right to a high court review. Attorney James Olson said Thursday an appeal petition would be filed with the high court.
