The Midwest's only five-diamond resort has decided to get into the business of making candy.
Not just any candy, but a chocolate turtle that is both traditional in makeup - containing chocolate, caramel and pecans - yet superior in quality. Make it world class, said the boss, Herb Kohler Jr., whose resort hotel is the American Club in Kohler.
So executive chef Rhys Lewis and his staff spent eight months studying and tasting chocolate turtles. Such a tough job. Then they experimented with "hundreds of flavor combinations" before perfecting their own recipe, a press release says.
