SAN FRANCISCO -- Early in September, San Francisco City Lights expanded its headquarters by breaking through a wall into an adjoining building.
The move enlarged the space housing the firm's 40 employees to 20,000 square feet from 8,000 square feet and signaled the growth this bodywear firm has been seeing since it was started in 1987.
Owner Kenneth Silverman said his business has doubled every year since he started the company and is projecting volume at $20 million for 1992. Last January, the firm added children's wear and it plans to go into men's next year.
