The stunningly beautiful Kananaskis region of the Rocky Mountains, near Banff, AB, was the setting for an International Conference on the Periodic Table held from July 14 to 20, 2003. Titled "The Periodic Table: Into the 21st Century," this week-long event focused on current challenges related to the table. The Conference was the second Harry Wiener International Memorial Conference, each conference taking a unique theme but with an emphasis on quantitative aspects of chemistry.
