Antonio Banderas is one of the most successful men's fragrances in Europe, and it is about to shake up the segment in the U.S. mass market. The launch represents an entirely new approach to the fragrance category by PUIG Fragrances and Personal Care, the North American division of PUIG Beauty & Fashion Group, based in Barcelona, Spain.
According to Vince Colonna, senior vice president of sales and marketing for the North American unit, the introduction, which is planned for the fourth quarter of 2004, is part of PUIG's strategy to bring prestige brands to mass market chains.
